How to make professional flower crowns

So this is my sister, and as you might be able to tell from this picture, she really did not feel like modeling for me. I only got one shot of her before she stormed off. It was probably my fault. I can be pretty demanding when it comes to my photo shoots. 

So what's the big secret to making flower crowns look professional?
Attaching flowers to a headband seems pretty straightforward, right? WRONG. It can turn out looking really... well.. Stupid. I know, I've experim
ented. There's a right way and a wrong way to go about this, people. And the biggest ally to have on your side is (Drum roll please......)



 FLORAL WRAP.  It comes in all kinds of colors. Glittery, matte. Whatever you want.
And this is literally what it's made for, guys. Take advantage of it.
 Find some flowers with a bit of a stem on them. You can glue the bases of the flowers to the headband first to make it easier to wrap them onto it. But you really don't need the glue.


1. Glue the flowers on to secure them for the wrapping process
2. Begin wrapping from the bottom up

3, Wrap it tightly. When you reach the base of the flower come as close as you can and wrap it tightly against the base.

4. Some I like to do halfway. For that I bend the stem of the flower backwards and stop wrapping the headband at the last flower base, then go back over it again.

Really make sure you go as tight as you can. That way the flowers have no choice but to submit to their new dwelling place. They will not be able to fall out.

Once you accept the magic of floral wrap, making flower headbands/crowns becomes easy and exciting. It's truly wonderful. I'm so sad it's taken me so long to figure this out, I've already spent probably fifty bucks on flower crowns. When I could have been making my own custom ones. Oh well. :'( Sniff sniff.

These can sell for a LOT of moola. Especially if you call them "Bridal Headbands". The price instantly goes up for anything remotely related to weddings.
