DIY Personalized Father's Day Tshirts

Only 4 days until Father's Day. Make this easy, personalized, 3D fabric paint Tshirt to show your dad how much you care! I had a ton of fun with this project. It was fast and easy, and I felt really creative even though I hardly did anything.

What you will need:

  • 3D Fabric Paint (Brown, green, and red. Optional: different color's for each child's name)
  • 1 Plain Tshirt

What you will do:

Lay the shirt on a flat surface. Sketch the outline of a trunk, leaves, and apples.

Holding the fabric paint bottle about five inches above the shirt (It helps prevent globs and messups), line the pencil marks with paint. Doodle on some circles and squiggles to make the trunk look like a trunk.

For each child your father/grandfather/etc. has, add another apple outline. You can fill in the apples with red, or leave them blank.

Add accents.

Practicing first on a piece of paper, write the name of each child inside the apples. If you're like me and you can't do anything without at least one mistake, just use white out.

Date it, so your dad will always remember when you gave it to him

I did my dad's on white and my grandpa's on gray. The green doesn't show up quite as visibly on the gray, but I thought it turned out super cute. I filled in the apples with red too, and only used green for the names.
You can get creative, use a blue shirt maybe. Or make it a cherry tree instead, or use hand prints instead of fruit! You can't go wrong, and your dad will treasure it forever!

If you'd like, add a personal message on the back...

Have fun!
