Easy Care Rock Garden

 If you're like me you don't have time (Or willpower) to take care of a garden. Yet you have this really ugly dirt patch overgrown with weeds where you once held a garden that Mary the Contrary would even be proud of.
 But that ship has sailed and the weeds have taken root right down the the third layer of the earth. So instead of hours and hours of laborious weeding there is a simpler and more beautiful answer...

 By the way, I do apologize for not posting in forever. My parents and three youngest siblings were in Germany visiting my sister (Yammie) for 2 1/2 weeks and I hardly sat down for a moment while they were gone. Every single morning I was up and at em at 6:30 sharp, and from dawn till dusk I was preparing the home for there return. Oh, other than that day my sister and I spent the day at our grandparent's cottage at the beach...



  But otherwise I worked my butt off so hard I didn't even have time to post this welcome home blueberry gluten free pie I made. Next time, Gadget. 

But after a relaxing day at the beach it was back to work. I found I had so many other things to do that I didn't have a spare two seconds to pull one weed out of my garden.
So it turned into this:

Gross. 

So cut up some tarp. Covered the whole thing except my strawberry and chive patches. To keep the tarp down and to give it a nice border I lined the garden with miss-matched medium sized rocks along the edges.
 Then I bought 5 stepping stones from Walmart for a buck a piece!
 Then I got White Marble Stones from Lowes, ran out, found the same ones at Kmart. So yeah, you can find these beautiful stones anywhere. They come in bags of about .4 cubic feet each. Empty it onto the tarp around your plants and stepping stones.
 The little buckets you can find anywhere. Walmart, Kmart, Hobby Lobby. Anywhere. I potted some things and planted a beautiful braided Hibiscus tree I got for 17 dollars at SAM's Club. It's so pretty.
 And I have a Snowball Bush as well, but it's not in bloom anymore unfortunately. But that's one of my favorite bushes.

            

Now I never have to weed again. And since everything (Except the tree and bush) is potted, if weeds ever find there way through the tarp and stones you can simply spray weed killer all the heck over it. 

 
 Now finally the dog can't dig mud holes every time I water the plants.

Oh, one last thing. I loaded every single one of the 15 bags of stones into my car by myself. That was a bad idea. Anywhere you can get them they will load them in your car for you. There's no need to have a sore back like I do now.
  Otherwise, I don't have a single regret.
  When my brother saw my new garden his jaw dropped. My brother. A macho dude. He loved my garden. That's how cool this is.
