Summer Project

In order to actually stick to this project, I decided to post about it. That way if I don't do it I'll feel like an idot.

Yes, these pictures of my beautiful sisters (and our cute puppy) warrant a post all on there own. But spring is in the air, it's creeping through the cracks in the sidewalk, and plugging up our nostrils. And with the scent of spring comes the un-ignorable urge to plan a summer project. One that you only have the energy for in the warmth and light of the sun.

We have a beautiful farm. But we don't use it. We've got two dogs, three cats, and three kittens. But cat milk sounds disgusto and dog-beef sounds like something only dogs would eat.
So we have a big beautiful barn that's going to waste.
Until we cleaned it out and threw my sister's wedding reception in it.
Alas, there was one room in the basement that wasn't touched. And being of a crafty mind, I cannot tollerate wasting space.

So as soon as I can get my little (bigger in fact) brother to haul this big hunky manly tractor accessory out of my way, I am going to begin to transform this barn basement into (drum roll please).......

A billiard room!!!! Yes. This is exciting. I already have a fooseball/airhockey table I got from Goodwill. I just got a dartboard too. I plan to deck out this space with game and card tables, couches and chairs, and light it all up with lanterns and party lights!

I don't want to destroy any of the natural beauty of this barn, though, so some parts I will let be.

These guys are a little dusty (as is the floor), so my first item of duty is a little classic spring cleaning.

Here is the barn from the outside. Isn't it magnificent ?

Stay tuned to see my completed summer project, and I hope you are inspired to get outside and work on your own project!
