Foam Magnets

We're a homeschool family, and I teach my little brother History, Latin, and English. But this year I want to introduce Art into both his, and my little little sister's curriculum. Just fun little projects that will get their creativity sparked. An easy, rewarding project like this is just what I need to kick off the beginning to the school year. I'm thinking I'll let them choose their own colors and shapes. They could make cats, cars, super heroes, food, anything they can imagine.

My first batch of cactus magnets I cut out actual pot shapes, I decided I liked the simple bowl shape better. I also outlined them with a black sharpie the first time around, but I think I like them better without. Less is more!

It's like your own little garden on the fridge.

It's just a fun, cute craft for children and adults alike. And I absolutely adore magnet tape, it's so fun. And I love the feeling and look of these foam magnets. SO cheep to make. Alright, let's get started...

What you will need:
Two Foam Sheets (Brown and Green)
Magnet Tape
An Exacto Knife or Scissors
A Red Marker
A Black Marker

What you will do:
Draw simple succulent/cactus shapes on the green foam and pot/bowl shapes on the brown.
Cut them out with the knife or scissors

Tape them together using magnet tape

For the red top, cut a small circle out of brown foam, color red and add details with black marker.Va la!
