Blueberry Jello Pie + 3 Ingredient, Perfect Crust Tutorial
There's only one thing I love more than my grandma. Her blueberry pie.
Just kidding, I love her more. But this pie is a serious rival for any of my loved ones.
The blueberries bursting in your mouth, the real whipped cream fluffing up your cheeks, and the flaky, buttery crust.
Actually, the crust is my creation. And it's so very perfect. I love it like it was my own son.
And I want to share with you the secrets of making a pie crust that doesn't fall apart, but instead stands in glory and majesty until the last delicious bite.
So, crust first.
What you will need:
1 Stick of Butter
1 Cup of Flour (Or Gluten Free 1/2 Cup White Rice 1/2 Cup Brown Rice Flour)
1 Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup Cold water
9.5 Inch Pie Plate (Normal size)
1 Egg (Beaten)
What you will do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Use pastry blender to cut cold butter into the flour. It should be clumpy.
Next, add water a tablespoon at a time until you squeeze it in your hand and it retains its form, like so:

Use pastry blender to cut cold butter into the flour. It should be clumpy.
Next, add water a tablespoon at a time until you squeeze it in your hand and it retains its form, like so:
Wrap it in a sheet of Saran wrap and freeze about 5 minutes
Roll out between two sheets of Saran wrap. Never mind my Reese's Puffs in the background.
Roll it out so it's about 11 inches round. Fold in the edges with the Saran wrap and roll out again for nice rounded edges.
Carefully loosen the top piece of Saran wrap from the crust. Replace it, turn it over, and do the same to the other side. Remove one sheet of Saran and use the other side to guide the crust into the pie plate like so:
Tuck it into all the edges as gently as you would tuck in a babe in a crib.
Use a food brush or your fingers to brush a thin layer of egg over the entire crust. Make sure you get all the edges.
Sprinkle some sugar over the egg wash
Bake 15-20 minutes until it looks like this little guy. Also, my hand is not in that mitt. Just the mitt in there for dramatic effect. #photographyfordummies
And there is your perfecto crusto. Stick that sucker into the fridge to cool, and we'll move on to the blueberry filling.
What you will need:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
3 Tablespoons Berry Blue Jello
1 Pint Blueberries (I used more, because we had more)
What you will do:
In a medium pot whisk together sugar, corn starch, and water. Bring to a boil. Stir in Jello and boil for 2 minutes. Add blueberries. Let cool 10 minutes and pour over crust
And there you have it. The only thing left to do is to whip
1 1/2 Cups Whipping Cream
2 Tablespoons of sugar
And pile it on. Add some blueberries on top if you're feeling awesome.
This is literally my favorite thing ever. Please enjoy.

DIY Herb/Cactus Garden
Any meal is better when you use fresh herbs. And every drink is better when you harvest fresh water from a cactus.
Okay, you may not be able to harvest the cacti, but they look adorable.
The best part:it's portable. Take it outside, bring it in, put it out in the rain, bring it in for the winter.
I couldn't believe how light and easy to move it was. And now I have fresh dill for my potato salad! Which I wil also make for you sometime.
But one thing at a time. Firstly, the herb garden.
What you will need:

- Bucket
- Empty Coffee Grounds Aluminum Container (Take the label off)
- Soil
- Herbs (I used sweat basil, cilantro, mint, sage, rosemary, dill, and thyme)
- Cacti and/or Succulents
- 1 Tall Tupperware (Almost the height of the bucket)
- A Dog
What you will do...
Take the label off your aluminum container and while you are distracted by admiring it, have your dog tear open a hole in the soil bag.
Please make sure that the dog rips the hole in the most inconvenient place possible.
Plant the succulents and cacti in the container. Place on top of tall Tupperware in the center of the bucket.
Pack dirt in all around leaving about 4 inches at the top
Water the soil, place herbs on dirt. Fill in gaps with soil. And there you go!

Kimmy's New York Cookie
One time my sister (Not Yammie, my other sister. Kimmy is also an excellent cook), she got really obsessed with finding the perfect cookie recipe. She was consumed. She sampled so many of her practice batches she gained 50 pounds. She was so obsessed that her eyes turned into two chocolate chip cookies and it was all she could see. And it all paid off. For one day, she opened the oven and out emerged the most perfect, the most addictive, the gooeyest, the chocolate chip cookiest cookie, EVER.
I modified it only slightly from the original Kimmy Cookie.
What you need:
- 2 Sticks Butter (Cold)
- 1/2 Stick Butter (Melted)
- 1 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup plus 2 Tablespoons White Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 4 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Cups Dark Chocolate Chips
- Beat together cold and melted butter until smooth, beat in sugar for 1 minute on medium speed to make it a little fluffy
- On low speed beat in eggs and vanilla
- In a separate mixing bowl whisk together dry ingredients. Add to wet mixture 1/2 a cup at a time.
- Stir in chocolate chips
- Freeze cookie dough for 30 minutes, then form into balls and bake at 350 degrees about 7-9 minutes or until edges JUST begin to brown
- Deavour
Enjoy. |

DIY- Design Your Own Photo Album (From an old binder!)
Guys, I really wanted a cute little Photo Album to keep my pictures from my trip to Germany in. So naturally I went to the store to buy one. And I found an adorable one! But the price was not so adorable. So how can we make our own Photo Album without having to break open the piggy bank? The answer is surprisingly easy...

Sweet & Salty Carmel Corn Party Mix
I love pretzels and I love M&M's. And I love pretzels within M&M's. Which is why I decided to create a Pretzel M&M party mix. It's literally a Taste Bud Fiesta. Not to be confused with a Taste Bud Siesta, which is basically where your taste buds fall asleep because the flavors are so boring. No, your taste buds will be up all night with these flavors...

Pretzel Heath Bits Layered Chocolate Mousse
You know how there are some foods that you can only get at restaurants? You're entire childhood, you never even questioned whether it might be possible to make them yourself at home? Well, that's how chocolate mousse was for me. A magical, unattainable delicacy only found at the rarest restaurants and cafes. But I was foolish. This magical dessert was always only three ingredients away. Whipped cream, fluffed egg whites, and melted chocolate.
